Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 2026
1. What we collect
- Alarm data you create — stored locally by default
- Pro: email and encrypted alarm data for sync
- Anonymous crash reports via Sentry
- Anonymous usage analytics via PostHog — no personal IDs
2. What we do not collect
No name, location, or health information beyond email for Pro. No cross-app tracking. No selling data to advertisers — ever.
3. How we use your information
- Deliver alarm and reminder notifications on your device
- Sync alarms across devices when you subscribe to Pro
- Improve app reliability and fix bugs
- Respond to support requests you send us
4. Notifications & device permissions
Ripple requests notification, alarm, and (optionally) full-screen intent permissions so alarms can ring on schedule. You can revoke these in your device settings at any time, but alarms may not fire as expected.
5. Third-party services
- Supabase — authentication and cloud sync (Pro)
- RevenueCat — subscription management
- Apple App Store / Google Play — in-app purchases
- Sentry — crash reporting
- PostHog — anonymous product analytics
6. Data retention
Local alarm data stays on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. Pro cloud data is retained while your account is active. You can delete your account from Settings → Close account, which removes your alarms, history, and sign-in from our servers.
7. Your rights
Uninstall to delete local data. Pro subscribers can request full account deletion at hello@ripplealarm.com. Depending on your region, you may have additional rights to access, correct, or delete personal data.
8. Children
Ripple is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
